~ MY QUICK REVIEW ~

Sixty Acres and a Bride is an interesting novel that parallels the Biblical story of Naomi, Ruth and Boaz. Rosa, a hard working and attractive young widow travels with her mother-in-law from Mexico back to Texas after both of their husbands pass away. There she meets Weston and the ups and downs of their relationship begins. 

I really enjoyed this book even though the extended stalemate between Rosa's and Weston's stubborn hearts at the end bored and bothered me. Regina Jennings did a fantastic job developing both her characters and the story line. The manner in which she used the Naomi-Ruth-Boaz plot was brilliant! I highly recommend Sixty Acres and a Bride.
